At Renshū Bujutsu Dojo, we study Japanese Martial Arts. The variety of martial arts we practice emphasize practical self-defense, joint-lock and control techniques, grappling, blocking and striking, ground-fighting, real-world scenarios, multiple attackers, and weapons defense, weapons use and weapons retaining tactics. Other focus points include strength and conditioning, power and ki (energy) development, meditation, speed and accuracy.

The Martial Arts offer benefits for people of all ages. Exercise and discipline go hand-in-hand with the martial arts but they will also improve overall strength and power, speed, agility, range of motion, hand-eye coordination, reflexes, stamina, breathing function and lung capacity, confidence and stress reduction.

“If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else, It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” - Bruce Lee

“The ultimate aim of martial arts is not having to use them.”
